Margie Latrella RN, MSN, APN-C is a board certified nurse practitioner specializing in health and wellness promotion and disease prevention. She has over 20 years of nursing experience.
As co-founder of Heartstrong, LLC, she has dedicated herself to helping people formulate a realistic plan for healthy living. Simple, fun changes in daily life can lead to major health benefits. She addresses the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual components that promote good health.
Margie's nursing background has included cardiac surgery intensive care, CCU, telemetry and oncology. As a nurse practitioner, she spent many years in a private cardiology practice seeing patients with numerous cardiac conditions. Most recently, she has spent several years screening patients for heart disease, stroke and diabetes risk factors and educating them on strategies to decrease their risk and adopt a healthier lifestyle.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Drew University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Pace University. She received certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
